Not supported as has been well documented by many people over the last few months. If someone comes up with a working kext then it might be possible. Have a look at the search results for more information on that AMD card:

Hi ehsan7715,

Hope you get this message and are able to help, I have the exact same problem as you. Although I can't get it to work on even 1 monitor...

I have a Radeon R7 260x, Yosemite 10.10.1 and I just can't get my head round the problem. I understand entering the device ID 0x66401002 into the kexts:

AMDRadeonX4000.kext
AMDController8000.kext

But... what then? Do they need to be reinstalled with something like kext wizard and system restarted? Is there anything else essential to be changed like the bootloader? I use Chameleon, was considering changing to Clover and trying 'ID injection' but I'm not confident that it will work out! The AMD kexts are all already there, I just have no idea of how to get the system to recognise them. :(

Of course if anyone else can put me out of my misery please do!

Question for ehsan7715 (or anybody connected to this thread who might be able to comment)

The 2-2-2015 post in this thread implies that R7 260x can work somewhat 'normally' on OSX 10.10.

How loud are the fans on the video card with OSX 10.10 running?

I ask because my machine is primarily used as a Digital Audio Workstation - which requires a quiet listening room. It currently dual-boots Windows (for Cubase) and Ubuntu 14.10 - (for experimentation with Ardour). In both Windows and Ubuntu, the Radeon R7 XFX fan did not come out of full speed mode until I installed Catalyst Control Center - at which point it dropped down to a barely audible 50% (in Windows you can actually control the speed).

When I did a Multibeast startup of OSX 10.10, the OS ran very slow (probably more related to Haswell processor in the build and the install being on a spare SATA II Drive, which is kind of slow). The graphics card fan ran at full speed in my case... which is fairly loud.

I'm interested in any reports or pointers indicating that this full-speed-fan-scenario might not be the case with Radeon R7 260x XFX and OSX (any version)? This would give me some bearing on my pursuit with this machine and Hackintosh options... and would be very much appreciated.
