Hello everyone. I have this old laptop sitting in a corner of my desk for about a month now and I was wondering if it was hackintoshable with Mountain Lion 10.8.3, or in the worst case Lion.

Here's the configuration:

Samsung NP-R719
CPU: Intel Pentium dual-core T4200 2Ghz with Intel SpeedStep
RAM: 4Gb
HDD: 320Gb AHCI drive
GPU: Intel HD 4000 with 64Mb of VRAM

I read everywhere that OS X needed AHCI drives, and saw Mountain Lion running on 64Mb GMAs.
Do you think that this will work?

You will need to get your hardware specs accurate... Pentium T4200 does not have HD4000.

Oops yeah sorry, I was thinking of another GPU. It has an Intel Mobile 4 series express chipster family GPU with 64Mb of vram.

Not enough information... but if it is GMA 4500MHD, then you should be aware it is not supported.

That's what is written in the system info:

I don't have anymore info except I written the name wrong again (Chipset not chipster) and that it's a 64mb mobile GPU.

I can never tell what it is with text names in Windows... If you really want to know what it is, get the vendor/device-id info from 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal.

Okay, so here is what I got:

Another question, will the OS X installer detect that i'm using a laptop and install the good kexts (like the battery or wifi) ?

8086:2a42 is Intel GMA 4500MHD. It is not supported by any version of OS X.

Oh

Are the others components compatible? I'm gonna try installing it anyway..

Maybe, but OS X is pretty painful without QE/CI...
