Hi,

I'm trying to install MacOS X Mavericks using UniBeast on an Asus UX32LN laptop: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/UX32LN/specifications/

but when starting the MacOS X installer from the USB stick, it reboots always. I tried to see with the -v boot option where it does that, but the sceen gets cleared immediately when the reboot starts. I tried some generic options line -x, GraphicsEnabler=Yes or No, etc. but the result is the same.

I wonder if anyone has made this work on the same or a similar laptop? Any pointers are welcome.

thanks, this patch indeed got me through the reboot issue.

now I get to a kernel panic in xnu/xnu-2422.110, similar to the one reported here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...nic-cant-even-install-10-9-2-first-build.html

I tried a number of suggested combinations:

* -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=1
* -x GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=1
* -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=1 maxmem=4096
* -x GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=1 maxmem=4096

but all result in the same kernel panic :(

(I do have VT-d disabled in the BIOS)

any suggestions on where to go from here would be appreciated

How did you prepare your USB installer?

Note: You should not use npci flag... Also not PCIRootUID flag either...

latest version of UniBeast (downloaded yesterday), yes, selected laptop support

There are currently two versions of Unibeast available. Which one did you use?
