Sorry to hijack this thread. How do you temporarily change the partition scheme from MBR to GPT and back? I too have older machine and have El Capitan installed on MBR. I've love to try this.

@RhubarbMac, there is a bug Multibeast for El Capitan. You need to change the System date to the same date as Multibeast and then it will build. I know from memory that Multibeast 8.2.5 I had to use the date 02/06/2016 and it worked. Then change the date back :)
