I have EC installed and running fine until I went into W10 and removed some files (music) from my Mac drive and now the EC boot option won't show up in clover anymore.
My setup has EC and W10 on different drives each with their own EFI partition, the fact that clover loads up indicates that the...
Thanks toleda, I'll get right on it... as soon as figure out why my Mac OS X disk is no longer showing up in the clover bootloader. Windows disk management shows the EFI, main data and Recovery partitions as being healthy - might just be a bootloader configuration issue. I'll report back with...
Hi toleda,
Thanks for the info. I used the MultiBeast method (1) Audio > RealtekALCxxx > 100 Series Audio to disable HDEF and rebooted. I then ran "audio_cloverALC-120.command" which produced the following output:
EFI partition is mounted
System Integrity Protection status: enabled (Custom...
Hi,
I've followed the guide "No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA" without any luck, so I am starting an error report. I really appreciate any help.
1. "No ouput devices found"
2. OS X: 10.11.6
MOBO: ASUS Z170-K (BIOS v.1803)
CPU: Intel i5-6500 3.2GHz 6MB Cache LGA1151...
Whilst that is a rather attractive option, it would be a tad wasteful ;). Just a little antsy about formatting the W10 partition because it's got my build environment on it and I'm kinda used to the way its setup. Once I have OSX running on this other drive and I have everything sorted and...
I freed up space on one of the other disks to attempt an installation, it formats just fine but near the end of the installation I get a reboot. Not sure if its installed correctly because a recovery disk icon appears in the clover bootloader after the reboot...
The drive (Disk 2 in the attached image) is a SanDisk Ultra II 960GB and its 93% free (NTFS, Boot, Crash Dump, Primary Partition). Free space is reading at 832.78GB, I had planned to set aside 250GB for the OSX partition.
Thanks for all the info kiiroaka, seems like a rather daunting task... MSINFO reports that my bios is set to UEFI, so I guess it must be installed through UEFI. I'll try and create a W10 image and attempt the gparted method first, and if that fails I'll reset the entire drive and use diskutil to...
Hi,
Thanks for the replies, and yes I've got windows on the same drive. The drive is an unpartitioned NTFS disk with Windows 10 on it. I'd like to keep the installation and not have to start from scratch with windows, so is my only option then gparted?
Thanks,
Hi,
During installation I am having issues with partitioning and formatting my SSD (has Windows 10 installed). From disk utilities I try to create and format a partition but get an error that the disk cannot be formatted.
"The volume is not journaled and as a result cannot be resized." To...
