These are brand new, never used, in original HP boxes. They've only been opened by the reseller to check the parts.

These are ultra small, high quality Intel PCs for sale on Ebay. Has everything you need except an SSD or laptop HDD.
Most everyone has one of those lying around somewhere. There is also no optical drive installed if that matters to you.
You can still buy the original HP slim optical drives on Ebay if you need one. Works best with this HDD adapter tray.
Hard drive caddy tray on Ebay Also get one of these Power/Data Cables if you get the internal HP optical drive.

You can also just plug in an external DVD reader writer via a front USB port.

These are about 80% tool less design. You'd only need a screwdriver to put the hard drive into the tray or
to remove the heatsink. High quality steel with no plastic at all in the case other than the small front panel.
Has a Windows 7 Pro COA sticker on the case. These run Windows 10 very well or you can stay with 7 Pro.

Mini PCIE wifi card.jpg
In the orange square you can see a slot where a mini PCI-e card can go. For Wifi you'd need a couple of antennas
and leads attached to the card to pick up a wifi signal since the case is thick steel.

OS X will install but you won't get full HD resolution with the onboard graphics. No QE/CI either.
You can use this HP mini PC to make your Unibeast installer if you don't have a Mac or CustoMac to create one.
See this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-install-snow-leopard-on-the-hp-elite-8000.180800/
Then you can simply install Windows on it and give it to a friend or family member or resell it to recoup your money.

So if you need a mini Windows PC and a Windows 7 Pro Product key for whatever reason, this is a great deal.

You can make an offer of at least $52 and you should get one if you don't want to pay the $54.99 asking price.
It is easily worth that asking price so don't make low offers (below 50) and expect to get one of these.

Also there is a nice vesa mounting bracket that allows you to put this on the back of your big screen
HDTV if you want to make it a Windows 7 Media center PC. A DP to HDMI adapter will work for a TV.

Here's everything you get in the original HP box: KEYBOARD, MOUSE, VESA MOUNT ELITE 8000, PSU (130W)
Keyboard is very good and worth at least $20.00 itself. It's not like a Mac keyboard, much more key travel.

The two fans are both 60mm in diameter and are relatively noisy more so when you stress the CPU. The good news is that you can replace the CPU fan with a Noctua PWM fan and it will quiet it down significantly. Find them most anywhere that Noctua fans are sold. The model number is: Noctua NF-A6x25 PWM A They sell for $14.95 on Newegg.

Seller's info:
This HP 8000 Ultra-Slim Desktop is new surplus inventory that had been previously purchased for business, and was not used in any capacity. This unit is packaged within its original HP box which was opened to ensure condition, and the packaging will show various signs of exterior wear (e.g. markings, stickers, scuffs, etc). The desktop itself is in original plastic and has never been used and is being sold as a new open box item.
  • This unit does not include a hard drive, hard drive caddy and dvd-burner
  • Includes new keyboard, optical mouse, AC Power Supply Adapter *desktop stand
*This doesn't include the the HP desktop stand but does have a Vesa mount bracket for the back of a monitor. The listing on Ebay does say the stand is included but that is a mistake. This USFF PC weighs in at over 6.5 lbs so it's not light like a NUC. Your monitor or TV would need a good stable stand under it to be able to mount this on the back.
I can verify that these are in new condition as stated above. Not a single scratch, dent or spec of dust in the one that I purchased about a month and a half ago.

These HP Elite systems are pretty much the ultimate, cheap "EZ" hackintosh systems available. And such variety in form factor and CPU power. There's something for everyone ;)

If your planning on getting one of these to run OS X on then i wouldn't recommend it. Onboard Graphics card isn't supported in OS X. Recommend getting a SFF version and add a dedicated Graphics Card.

Correct, these will work best as a Windows 7/10 mini-itx size PC. They are useful for OS X install only if you don't have a Mac or CustoMac to make your Unibeast installer. After you've done the Snow Leopard install and made your Unibeast drive then put whichever version of Windows on it you want longer term. I haven't tried Linux Ubuntu or Mint on one of these but that should work with no problems whatsoever.

You cold use it as a home media center machine also. But then your still limited to what you can do. Most decent tv tuners are PCI-E x1 cards. You could run FreeNas on it but not sure how many drives it can hold.

The best use of this would not be as a DVR but more as a Win10 media streaming device. You could also use XBMC/Kodi. Connect it to the back of an HDTV, use a BT keyboard and mouse, hook up the GbE and you've got a really low cost media streaming rig for online content. Even Intel PCs on a stick or a Chromecast that are far less capable, store less and are slower sell in about the 50 dollar price range.

You see I thought I could use the elite 8000 I have with my twin satellite card but the problem is that the power supply isn't big enough to run the PCI-E x16 graphics card with the twin tuner. So the elite I have isn't so much atm unless I can find a bigger PSU which I think is going to be impossible. So I think I'm going to have to build a HTPC and sell the Elite. But yeah Kodi would work great on it :)

There is an MXM HD5450 graphics card you can put in one of the 8200 minis but not the 8000. I've seen them for sale on Ebay for about 15 USD. Haven't tried one yet but that would be one graphics solution for the mini Elite 8200 USFF.

One thing is if it's anything like the xfx version then it will have issues but it won't hurt to try.
