[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

Make sure you delete any copies of the installer you may have...

Your networking issues on your desktop are unrelated to this topic.
 
I have question about Clover. How do you update Clover? In my case, I have version 3469 and I just noticed 3650 is out there. I can find a lot of information about doing a fresh install but not about updating it. Thanks

You update the same way you do the initial install... with the Clover installer.
 
Well I just updated Clover to v3625. I want to share my experience in case somebody else wants to do the same thing. First, v3650 did not work for my Lenovo G50. Second, the update is automatic, it keeps all your kexts but regarding the drivers, it does not keep HFSPlus.efi file.

I have done it exactly as the USB, still the same.
Then added EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and the same.
Then removed EmuVariable and used Install all RC scripts on all other boot volumes apart from Target Volume, same thing.

It gets stuck here:
OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi
Using reloc block: yes, hibernate wake: no
***************************************************

I will re-create the USB and re-install everything. This time using newer Clover 3625.

You need correct config.plist, Clover/kexts/Other, etc.
