No. If the HDD is formatted for Windows NTFS then OS X can read it but not write to it natively. You need a 3rd party app for that and they generally wind up corrupting your files. Best to keep a MBR/FAT32 formatted HDD for a file swap drive if you want to share files. Only problem is the 4GB max file size with FAT32.

I also plan on converting the other PC I built two months ago using the TonyMac86 Build Hardware recommendations for OS X. Currently it is running WIN 10 only.... I plan on installing a SSD for it. Do I need to create another OS X Boot Flash Drive or can I use the one I have? Do I use UEFI or Legacy mode for this build?
