Do you have a Windows folder in your EFI folder on your EFI partition? You did install Clover UEFI mode, yes?

I did not install Clover UEFI mode, per previous instructions on page 4 or 5 of this thread. There is an icon "Load Clover from EFI" on the Clover Boot Selection screen. Nothing happens when I click on it. Also, I cannot see the drive that Windows is on. It is installed on a separate SSD drive.

@SnoLuvr
To recap your threads. You has Windows installed Legacy Mode already installed.
You created a Legacy mode USB installer for OS X El Capitan and installed.
At the Clover boot screen you have 2 Windows Legacy icons
Neither one boots Windows - you always get an error
Windows is installed on an SSD with Windows files on the Toshiba 1TB drive and OS X is on the Samsung SSD.

Is the above correct?

When you ran MultiBeast post install to install the boot loader and other kexts to the SSD, did you select Legacy Mode at the first screen in MultiBeast?

If you boot with the install USB and select either of the Windows icons, does Windows boot?
Can you disconnect the OS X SSD and boot the Windows drive normally?

The answer is yes to the first question.

Yes again.

No, Windows does not boot either way.

Is your EFI folder in the root or is it installed in the EFI partition?

Attach copy of config.plist you are using.

Attach copy of config.plist you are using. Where would I find config.plist? /QUOTE]

I discovered that I apparently installed El Capitan on both SSD's that I have installed. Is this why I cannot write to my 1TB HD? Because permission were established in Windows?

No. If the HDD is formatted for Windows NTFS then OS X can read it but not write to it natively. You need a 3rd party app for that and they generally wind up corrupting your files. Best to keep a MBR/FAT32 formatted HDD for a file swap drive if you want to share files. Only problem is the 4GB max file size with FAT32.

Thank you for your patience and help, it is greatly appreciated.

I also plan on converting the other PC I built two months ago using the TonyMac86 Build Hardware recommendations for OS X. Currently it is running WIN 10 only.... I plan on installing a SSD for it. Do I need to create another OS X Boot Flash Drive or can I use the one I have? Do I use UEFI or Legacy mode for this build?

Here is what that build consists of:

895144 TOSHIBA 1TB P300 3.5" HDD
658765 CRUCIAL 16GB 2X8 D4 2400 SPLT CL1
804831 INTEL BOX INTEL CORE I5-6500
553792 SAMSUNG E 500GB 850 EVO SSD
976076 CORSAIR CXM 650W 80+B SM PSU
092429 ALPHA OME 18" SATA RIGHT ANGLE RED
090761 IPSG LG 16X SATA BD BURNER
820605 GIGABYTE GA-Z170-HD3 LGA1151 ATX
719427 CORSAIR SPEC02 REDSHIFT ATX CASE
Windows 10 64bit OS Software

Once again, THANK YOU!

You can use the same UniBeast USB to install El Capitan on both Z77 and Z170. You may need to add networking kext for the Z170 board NIC if it is not one of the kexts on your UniBeast USB in Clover->kexts->10.11 folder already.

How can I tell which mode to use Legacy Mode or UEFI?

Thanks

How can I tell which mode to use Legacy Mode or UEFI?

6 series boards were AMI BIOS (legacy), but could be upgraded to UEFI. Unfortunately it was not a very good implementation of UEFI. 7 series boards have UEFI and you can set your boot mode in the BIOS/UEFI to Legacy Only, UEFI and Legacy and UEFI only. 8 and 9 series boards are UEFI, but with the CSM enabled you can boot legacy mode. 170/150 series boards are UEFI and no sense in trying to install Legacy mode and no need for it..

If installing Yosemite or earlier you can use Legacy mode and Chimera or Clover as boot loader.
For El Capitan or later you can use Clover only and install it Legacy or UEFI depending on your hardware.
