Newbie wondering if I can install El Capitan

I heard AMD GPUs don't go very well with OS X systems but I'm pretty sure I can enable iGPU on my motherboard if that's a big problem. If AMD works fine, well, correct me please.

And if can install it, how risky it is? If I screw something up, and I believe I won't, can I just install Windows over it and be done?
