Hey guys, I've managed to install El Capitan and dual boot it with Windows 10 with clover - works like a charm. But I couldn't find any guidance on how to enable/fix the audio and the screen brightness. Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

Both audio and brightness work if you follow the guide in post #1. If they are not working, it means you made a mistake.

Follow the guide in post #1, as written. Carefully.

If you have an issue, read post #1, "Problem Reporting" and provide all files and output as requested.

I did everything exactly as you described, at about the end of post #1 you said:

Do not stop reading

Although most of the post-install tasks are done, continue to read this guide. It it has important information you should know about.

Be sure to visit "Known Problems", especially the instructions in the "Audio:" section. Typically, even after completing all the above tasks, audio will not work on the first reboot. You must follow the specific instructions in that section in order to get the audio kexts in cache.

In the case of a problem, don't bother asking about with without all files requested in "Problem Reporting".

I couldn't find this "Known Problems" section though...

You're not reading carefully enough. If you seriously cannot find it, use "Find in Page" in your web browser. The section is clearly identified in bold.

Hey guys, today I was playing with the latest BIOS (3.03) on my Y50 and look what I found. If you go to the "Advanced" tab and then to "Video configuration" and then "Internal Graphic Device" you can change the DVMT Prealloc size to 128 (or 160 or any size you want) without any Shell or hacked BIOS or anything that could jeopardize our laptop's warranty ! Couldn't be simpler !!!
Cheers!

Are you using an unlocked bios? I do not see this in my bios.

Well, somehow (I can't figure out) my BIOS for this one and only time was unlocked, that's why I had all these options! I had downloaded it from Lenovo, so it is definitely not hacked. When I tried again to play with all these options It locked again and I couldn't see anything more than the usual options. How on earth did it unlock itself? We must find out how...

Some laptops have a tricky (and undocumented) key sequence that can be used to unlock...

So in beta 8 (probably last beta prior to GM) the keyboard issue and trackpad aren't fixed yet
So, @RehabMan, it looks like we might need to remap the keyboard and USB >_<
