Power Computing Power 120 Tower
Power Mac G4 AGP
2003 Power Mac G5 ( This is now my Hackintosh )
2006 Mac Pro
2006 Mac Book
2009 iMac

No longer have the Power 120 or the G4 though.

Not sure if this counts, but I have a dual G5 mac with a bad video card that needs replacing, and a virgin, never built 2008 Mac Pro case collecting dust.

Just thought it would be interesting to see if anyone here owns a real Mac in addition to their Hackintosh.

i used to have a macbook pro. i sold it once i built a superior hackintosh desktop.
never again will i spend that much money on outdated apple tech.

Yes, I got 2 laptops here from mac, one is a Macbook pro retina, and the other one is a Macbook, I only bought this laptop coz my wife needs it. But other than that, I got a desktop computer which has a Hackintosh and a Windows10. :D

I own and use a MacBookPro almost daily and occasionally an older MacMini, the latter my first Apple machine.
Exasperation with the price/components in Apple machines and a desire to compare color management in Windows and OSX on the same high end hardware drove me to my first Snow Leopard Hack and this amazing web site.
Now I am up to Win 10 and El Cap on an overclocked Skylake i7. Despite other issues scaling in OSX in Photoshop on a 4k monitor remains superior to Win 10.
Using generations of Apple computers and Iphones for several years, my normal work environment, makes me wonder why anyone bothers with iMessage which, to me, is unreliable in daily use and limited in scope when it does work.

Just thought it would be interesting to see if anyone here owns a real Mac in addition to their Hackintosh. I have a PowerBook G4 12" 1.5. Long in the tooth at this point, and only running Leopard, but it still runs like a champ. Better than any netbook in my opinion- it has a real graphics card!! But the Geekbench score is an abysmal 727!!!

Edit 2011: Got a 13" Sandy Bridge MacBook Air! :D It's the best laptop I've ever owned.

Edit 2013: Replaced the air with a 15" Ivy Bridge MacBook Pro. Love the retina screen.
i have an eMac (Early 2004) and a 15" PowerBook G4 (Early 2005).

I was originally going to get the DLSD/HR model, however, i wasn't able to, because they are extremely rare.

After using a Hackintosh for 5 years, when my mobo/or memory/or cpu/or psu started giving me problems, I actually bought a real macbook pro, payed double for the hardware I had as a desktop PC but I can move it around, which is nice since I move around a lot - and this reason usually created hardware problems with my desktop pc moving around.

Apart from setting me back a lot of money, I'm actually happy to own a real Mac :)

Of course, 2013 Mac Book Pro.

Before the this project I was going to build an thunderbolt to External GPU system when I stumbled upon the Hackintosh Community. I wanted to push video processing and apps like After Effects but needed more CPU and better GPU.

Thanks to this site and building my own Hackintosh, I now more about Mac internals including .plists, kernel extensions, Mac boot sequence, Mac Architecture, SIP, TRIM, Time Machine, Backup/Restore, User Accounts, iCloud, Apple Messaging, Apple Handoff, Bluetooth 4.0, UEFI, BIOS, Dual Booting, and hardware compatibility. I could probably work for second level Apple support at this point.

The journey has been a frustrating learning experience filled with failure and the joys of success. I like to contribute back to the community when I learn something and thank everyone for posting their guides and tips.

Overall it is a fun hobby and I like OS X much better than Windows 10.
