macOS Sierra and AMD Radeon 280x Bootup issue

Hey, Just getting back into hackintoshing again. I recently bought an XFX R9 280X Black card. I'm able to install and get into Sierra as long as I don't inject ATI in clover, so I'm curious if you could explain in detail what you did in clover to get yours working fully? (I have no...

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

But that's the odd thing Fl0rian, it happens on my Gigabyte z97x-ud5h-bk motherboard also. And I can wake from sleep when my GTX 260 is installed. Bizarre right?

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

I checked fixregions in clover and that fixed the error I was getting in my last post, so now I can boot properly, but I still can't wake from sleep. I'll keep trying different settings but I'm losing hope.

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Ok, so I did a totally fresh install of Yosemite 10.10. I then installed the newest Clover and finished off the install with MultiBeast for FakeSMC. I did a reboot, which worked great. Checked the config.plist file to make sure there was nothing in it, which there wasn't. I added the dsdt to...

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Ok, that makes sense, but I had a clean system with nothing added to clover when I introduced the DSDT, well, except a couple boot flags. (-v kext-dev-mode=1) I'll go back to the drawing board and use a test hard drive to install again and see what happens.

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Thanks for the relpy! I'm assuming you mean patches specifically for my GPU. If so, I have never patched a dsdt, so I'm not sure how. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I will do some searching also just to understand more about it. Thanks again!

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

Hey guys, Here to let everyone know that Powercolor's Radeon HD 7950 3GB Boost State card works out of the box. Of course the sleep/wake issue is present with this card also. The problem I'm having is that I can't get the hack to wake up in Mavericks or Yosemite as either. When I click the...

    Z97X-UD5H-BK is El-Capitan possible?

I have been reading that USB 3.0 with any third party chips like NEC/Renesas will not work in El Capitan at this time, but there are some guides out there for intel USB 3 chips. The reason 3rd party chips won't work is because Apple completely rewrote the USB drivers in OS X. I'm sure there are...

Gigabyte GA-G41M Combo rev 1.3/1.4 - Fully working with Yosemite

That's odd! I have the Windows 10 Preview Running on a separate drive, with the same settings as for Yosemite and it runs smooth as silk! I haven't tried Win 8/8.1 in this computer yet. I don't see alot of differences between the two OS's however, so I'm not sure why it won't work. Perhaps it's...

Gigabyte GA-G41M Combo rev 1.3/1.4 - Fully working with Yosemite

There are only two things I can think of for sound not working. I think I forgot to mention in my tutorial that you should repair permissions/rebuild cache. I used kext wizard to do this which made it easy. The other thing is make sure the sound chip is enabled in the BIOS. I know this is...

Gigabyte GA-G41M Combo rev 1.3/1.4 - Fully working with Yosemite

Hi everyone, I know this board is old, but I recently acquired one and immediately started trying to install Mavericks 10.9.5. Almost a week after starting this endeavor, Yosemite was released so I switched to that OS instead. Here are the specs for this build. CPU: intel Xeon E5450...
