You can install it then uninstall. But Hackintool would give you much more usable functions. A must have for a hackintosh.

I'm still on Clover (5127) and faced this issue, but re-did the update from preboot installer then boot from preboot main hard drive and no more issue.

Updated with clover 5127 : install from preboot install then boot from preboot : success.

May I ask you to share your OC EFI as I own almost the same config than yours ? I actually am on last clover and try to move on OC. Thanks

Was on 20B29, didn't see the update, so downloaded it from AS and installed it. First boot (after install) hanged, reboot + clear nvram (F11) via clover and it did the trick.

@umangloria Did you upgrade to Big Sur with OC or Clover ? If Clover, are you able to update apps from AppStore ?

I installed .161 yesterday afternoon and WindowServer is at 250 Mo as well. With .158 -> around 8 Go. No lags either.

I put this patch before I update via App Store, but after reboot (I rebooted a couple of times to be sure) Nvidia drivers were disabled...

I had the lag with 10.13.3 and Nvidia web drivers. Updated today to supplemental 10.13.3 + latest Nvidia for supplemental :no lag this time (cross fingers).

You do not need to install both, AptioMemoryFix.efi replacing any OsxAptioFixXDrv-64.efi. When removing EmuVariable, do not forget to delete rc.scripts in /etc/. When installing AptioMemoryFix.efi, do not forget to delete nvram.plist in Clover/EFI. Not needed then.
