Hi, i have a Supermicro x9dal-i mobo with dual E5-2470 v2 cpu’s I think that system won’t work. Could not find E5 2400series on apple compatible list. I have other system x8dal-i with dual hashwells just works fine. Shame that i cant put os on x9 :( closest model is the cilinder use a single E5-2697
Finally, I’ve received the CPU’s from China :) (E5-2470v2) for my Supermicro x9 dal-i mobo. I’ll load it with 96GB DDR3 (ECC) not sure yet what GPU should I’ll be using… I wish to have 3 HDMI output that's for sure. I’m using a GT710-4H-SL-2GD5 on my current setup but with x8dal-i. And works...
May I have a look too? I’d compare it to mine :) I’ve installed the High Sierra on SSD drive, but have not used APFS file system. It was a struggle to make it work as I’ve running Mavericks on separate ssd and have dual boot setting
Hi, I have running High Sierra on X8 dal-i and works well. Now I’m about to try to install Big Sur on x9 dal-i with dual Intel Xeon E5-2470(v2) and 96GB DDR3 (ECC) anyone have any suggestion?
Hi, I know it's an old thread but wonder have you managed to make guide for the installing? For this same mobo - I have Maverick on mine perfectly works, but ,unfortunately, I need to update to a newer os -perhaps El Capitan is the far I can go with Supermicro x8 dal-i.
Could you please write down BIOS settings/chameleon.boot.plist/MultiBeast sets? I've got similar old setup was running Snow Leopard perfectly tried to update and no luck since. Can't get any clean install to it anymore.
