plugged it in using dosdudes installer for catalina mac pro 3,1 won't install with out some tweaking u don't see the picker screen

a old asus x58 build catalina amd rx6500xt im kind of done updating this build i got a dual 4 core mac pro 4.3 runs catalina a treat 24 g ram 1 tb ssd also rx 6500 xt

if you are going to get a real mac pro , its best to get a 3,1 or newer i have read that the 5,1 is the best bet

with the right gpu and enough memory this thing rocks ... my x58 machine is now just windows 10 , solaris ,linux windows 10 for games solaris because i can linux for experimenting

replaced video with a amd rx580 oc 8gb running catalina now with patches (dosdudes patcher) google is your friend

mac pro 3.1 twin cpu's 2.8g replaced the stock video card(8800gt) with a nvidia gtx 460 oc (no boot screen) but works great 1 tb samsung ssd to boot 24gb ram works great for a 14 year old machine el capitan for now , will put open core eventually

Did a build your own app. UniBeast install. Everything but audio OOB. Still using my X58 build. had to add the apfs enabler to efi (clover wasn't seeing the OS X drive) easy fix

i just purchased a 1.8 dual g5 as well came with 1 gb ram , nvidia 6800gt , 500gb hd updated ram to 3 gig 250 gig ssd cloned drive with cc cloner no issues i love these older macs , i have done a hack in these cases but im going to leave this one working as is

did the combo update downloaded the latest clover and nvidia web driver installed with no issues

used the alc110 script to re enable sound

solved: turns out i had an older clover on the usb? odd because i used the latest unibeast installer the fix was to install the latest clover on the hd reboot to installer have a snack install web driver(nvidia) just need to address the audio(realtek 892)...

did the usb method built the drive 2x , second attempt was with a fresh download of the app thanks ill try
