    I'm trying to install Mavericks on my P55M-UD2. First I tried to boot from Unibeast and it stalled, then in verbose, it was loading and then my monitor told me it was going to sleep and that was it. I've had no problem with Mt Lion or Snow Leopard, this has me puzzled. This is my third attempt.

    His Focusrite saffire pro 40 isn't a real sound card? I don't understand. I use a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 and it works amazingly with my Hackintosh.Very low latency. I installed 2 PCI firewire cards with TI chipset. Always use firewire cards with TI chipsets.

    Yes check out the DSDT data base to see if your board is on there and download it and follow the instructions and put it on your desktop.

    I've got a Focusrite Saffire Liquid 56. I have two generic 400 PCI firewire cards with TI chips and they work great. You might want to reinstall your Saffire too just to see what happens.
