Coming back to this topic after a bit of research, I've been told that AMD based Laptops are a complete "no-go" for hackintosh purposes. Seems strange given the progress made with desktop AMD Hack's. But then I'm absolutely just a novice in the nitty-gritty of hackintoshing, even though I've...
Anyone see this build? Wonder if it would work good for hackintosh laptop...?

I see. Well I switched to the DSDT-free. It works fine. No particular improvement that I can see in general. I don't know if it's more efficient under the surface. Don't really have a way to check that. Sleep still doesn't work. Tried 'PleaseSleep' - Doesn't work for me. But that is...
Stork, I have the i5-4670 clocked at 4.2Ghz. Can you help me understand how using DSDT free would be benefit over EasyBeast in regard to power management. Thanks.
Feel the need to add-on to my prior lengthy comments. Been running this system for a bit and have run into multiple problems. Have it up again now and want to share some thoughts...
1. Someone asked about Wifi - From what I've read, that's not going to work unless you get the dedicated...
Want to give props to tiimp for his post. I also got the Asrock z97m-pro4. I used a nvidia GT 640 with 2 gb for video. 12GB of ram with missmatched modules (know that is a no-no but it was what I had and I have it all clocked to 1680 which works just fine). 256SSD from aData and an i5 4670k...
Definitely more snappy! I had to reinstall all my misc presents in addition to sound. Atleast the update won't boot without those flags so I figured they had been reset. Just reinstalled all flags like when I first installed Yosemite and all is well. And yes, seems to run quicker now.
Know this is meant for clean install but just did this over the top of Mavericks. Had just lost my sound for some weird reason. Used the same flags as I had for Mavericks install which is different from what is mentioned in this guide. Works perfect. And didn't have to import anything...
Just want to add my 2 cents. I'm run my gigabyte p55 board with i5 for about 4 years now. Worked my way up from OSX 8 to the last version of 9. Other than the boot 0 problem which I fixed, never really a problem. Then I did the last security update last night and i had the hanging "/"...
Mavericks: HDMI Audio - AppleHDA [Guide] Toleda question....
Your HDMI fix worked great for my biostar h61 board. I have it hooked up to my projector through an Onkyo Reciever. I get the audio but after prolonged sleep, the audio is lost. HDMI video still works. it's simple to fix. I just...
Ignore Last post. I GOT IT!!!! Had used wrong patches and now HDMI shows UP!!! Awesome! thanks Toleda.
**Edit**
Just wanted to add some comments. The system listed in the preceding post is in intended for HTPC use only. So I don't need system sound. The intent was to create an...
Been reading and studying this whole topic. Think I've done due diligence but my first attempt has not got the HDMI working.
So here's the specs
Biostar H61mlv2 version 8
Celeron 1610
Galaxy GEforce GT610
Mac OS X 10.9.1
Know this board is nonstandard but thought I'd give it a...
Hey, wanted to give a thanks to obscurity for this walk through. I have a very similar system but with i5 and nvidia 9400 card. Worked for me with some slight changes.
1) Unibeast with DSDT (F11) in /extra folder of installer. I didn't select legecy USB
2) Only flag I needed was...
I stand (sit) CORRECTED!!!!
It DOES WORK!
My Set up... i5 quad 2.8 native with 4 gbs of ram and a GA-P55M-UD2 board with a GeForce 9400 Video card.
Well, my first attempt was unsuccessful but after going back to some other installation woes with these P55m boards I came across my...
