Big Sur successful installation but black screen after restart

Did you try others connectors on your GPU (for example if you use HDMI and the card has multiple HDMI connectors) for your monitor ?

Nvidia Drivers for Mojave 10.14 Not Available, no WorkAround works well

First it's very probable that they started working on them only after official release of macOS Mojave, as it's the known politic in NVidia for web drivers. And Mojave has been released only a month ago. Then, they need to support Metal 2, and in software development you can't just implement...

    Nvidia Mojave support

Yes indeed, ThomasK@NVidia already stated on the NVidia's developers forum that they are working for both Mojave (10.14) and RTX 20xx cards support for next web drivers. He also stated that they are working on CUDA support too for Mojave. As both drivers (Web and CUDA) are generally released...

    Nvidia Mojave support

The Oleg's answer may look direct and honest, but is in fact very misleading and inappropriate. Apple never made any driver for the GTX 1060, which is the card mentionned by Eugene on his support ticket, and will never support it. So Oleg is perfectly right that Apple's drivers will not support...

macOS Mojave is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Using this script makes the driver loading indeed, but it's not enough to have full acceleration. The card is correctly detected on system informations, but doesn't show any Metal support and so the UI is degraded even though the driver is loaded. It seems that the 10.13.x version of Web driver...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

No, that is wrong, I never say that. I said: 1) I had to enable SIP to install .156 correctly and working on my setup (otherwise I got backscreen with loader at boot). And my report helped several other users that were stuck with the same non-booting blackscreen/spinner situation (which is a...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

Correction: There is never a need to disable SIP. Disabling SIP should only be done for testing purpose (for example to test unsigned Kexts), but in everyday use, disabling SIP is not necessary and increase security risks. With Clover injection and patching everything required for a Hackintosh...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

The black screen issue is a totally different issue than the lagging one. Considering your setup (Core i7 4770k + 1080 Ti), the latest driver should work without issue or lag. To solve the black screen issue you need: 1) Disable Intel iGPU in BIOS (to avoid it to take over the display instead...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

I've no issue with my setup, Core i7 4770k Haswell + KFA2 HOF GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6Go, with a iMac 14,2 SMBIOS which is also a Haswell + GeForce based iMac. I've read on InsanelyMac that the issue is probably when the SMBIOS used doesn't fit enough with the real hardware, and in that case the...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

The key is not just to install .156 with SIP enabled, I also tried this before, without uninstalling existing driver, and it didn't work. The key is: 1) To uninstall existing driver completely. To be sure to not leave anything, first uninstall using the official uninstaller, than check that...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

Personally I use VoodooHDA for audio, as this is a separate Kext and it doesn’t require to patch any stock macOS Kext to get audio working. So I use VoodooHDA.kext injected by Clover (in kexts/other), so that it works even with SIP fully enabled.

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

I've been using the new .156 driver for several hours now, which I was finally able to install correctly yesterday by fully uninstalling previous (patched) .106 one and installing (and using) new driver with SIP fully enabled (which btw I prefer. I generally only disable SIP to use patched...

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

I finally got the new version working. Before I had black screen with spinning wheel with my NVidia 980 Ti graphic card. Here what I did: 1) Uninstalled existing (patched) driver (.106) using the NVidia Uninstaller (Open Uninstaller... button in NVidia Driver Manager preferences pane) 2)...

BrcmPatchRAM - Upload firmware into Broadcom Bluetooth USB devices

Indeed, I tried and it wakes up immediately after going to sleep. In the console it's written: "Wake reason: XHC", from what I found on the internet, it's related to bluetooth. If I turn off my bluetooth devices (so that they get disconnected), sleep works ok. So indeed if a bluetooth device is...

BrcmPatchRAM - Upload firmware into Broadcom Bluetooth USB devices

Here is the file. It's only the BcrmPatchRAM2.kext and specifically for El Capitan (don't use it with Yosemite or earlier!): Personal recommended install method: Clover injection (install in kexts/10.11/ folder of your Clover installation). Note also that if you were using...

BrcmPatchRAM - Upload firmware into Broadcom Bluetooth USB devices

I've compiled the latest source code from usbhost branch (as of commit 6553d6fdf8a1a840e95520aba94687e512cafe05) and it works perfectly with my Azurewave CE123H (13D3:3404), the firmware is correctly uploaded, my bluetooth devices (mouse and keyboard) work perfectly and system information shows...

    Clover update r2988 Caution

As I didn't have this issue, I can't tell you. But I had an issue like this once before. I had to redo a new clean SMBIOS content on config.plist, switching from iMac 14,2 to Mac Pro 6,1 (but keeping same values for Board Serial Number and RtVariables ROM and MLB (which as same value as Board...

    Clover update r2988 Caution

For information, r2994 fixes the VBoxHFS driver. I've compiled and tested it (as requested by a Clover team member on the ticket about this issue). I don't know when the team will release a new version of Clover, but I hope it'll be soon enough (it may be the r2994 or a later revision).
