With the evolution of OS X comes an evolution of the distinctive default wallpaper. Beginning with the simple abstract designs of 10.1 through the various celestial images of more recent releases, they have always been very eye-catching.

Thanks for putting this together. One note, Leopard and Snow Leopard had the same video but different wallpapers.

I think Panther's wallpaper was my favorite, it was friendly (smooth and curvy) and harmonious (well balanced).

Lion's wallpaper is my 2nd favorite (and Lion was the only Mac OS X version I hated and skipped lol).
