Hi,

I'm in the early stages of planning my G5 to ATX conversion. Do I need to worry about grounding the motherboard, or is the power button the only part that needs a ground connection? (original power button = ground via FireWire afaik?)

I understand ATX boards get a ground connection via the PSU. Is this really sufficient?
Some PC-build websites I came across mention that an additional ground coming from one (or more?) of the ATX board standoff screw connection points would be a good idea...

For the motherboard tray and rear plate conversion, I'd like to use acrylic. Might end up buying a kit from the LaserHive, but am tempted to at least try a DIY job first...

Thank you for your help!
