Comments

This is my first hackintosh, I've been wanting to try to build a hackintosh since the Snow Leopard era, but my attempts at that time came to a dead end due to lack of knowledge and limited components. Finally this time I managed to build Hackintosh Sonoma 14.0 (upgraded from Ventura 13.6). I bought all these components in 2020 when covid-19 was rampant, therefore the components I used were a bit behind.

Why QTB2?

Because that was all I could afford at that time because it was very expensive to have the 10900K release version in my country at that time.

Installation

This Hackintosh was built using Opencore 0.9.5 which was initially Ventura version 13.5.1 then upgraded to 13.5.2 and then to 13.6 and the latest to be Sonoma 14.0

BIOS

The bios is the F9 version and the settings is the same as the Aorus Z590 Elite builds available in this forum (as I learned from this forum, thanks to the previous Z590 builds)
1. Default Profile
2. XMP on
3. Other OS
4. Enable iGFX
5. Disable secure boot
6. Disable Fast Boot
7. Enable Above 4G Decoding
8. EHCI/XHCI Hand-Off
9. Sata Mode = AHCI

Working

1. On Board Audio (ALC1220-VB)
2. Wi-Fi ( using itlwm + Heliport )
3. Intel Bluetooth
4. Ethernet
5. Graphics
6. Hardware Acceleration

Screenshot 2023-09-27 at 23.27.16.png

7. iMessage
8. Facetime

Not Working

1. AirDrop

Special Thanks:
1. PREngineer because mostly I refer to his post

Being as this is your first Hack since Snow Leopard, I’m quite impressed!. I haven’t used Heliport with my Intel Wi-Fi / BT card, what are the advantages?. Love the yellow RGB!.

I'm using Heliport because WiFi not working in Sonoma when using airportitlwm.kext so have to used itlwm.kext paired with Heliport app. But when using itlwm.kext map location cant enable.
