Success, Acer Swift 3(SF315-51) 15' laptop
I managed to install Big Sur 11.2.2 on my SF-314-52. OpenCore 0.6.6, everything works: keyboard with caps lock led, function keys and brightness keys remapped; touchpad with custom gpi0 ssdt, wifi, bluetooth, igpu with fixed color banding, audio, usb, webcam, sleep/wake.
Card reader and fingerprint reader are not working as they weren't in Catalina.
I just swapped the Intel ssd with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB.
If I have time I will write a guide but, if someone wants to try, just follow the dortania guide and fill the PlatformInfo section
I installed MacOS Catalina 10.15.7, the EFI file i used is from this guy and using OpenCore 0.7.0, almost everything is working fine.

1. SSD replaced as SN550 500GB

2. WiFi card still Intel AC7265, so I get the kext from https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless/itlwm and the WiFi works again.

3. Audio from 3.5mm output have some problem, the sound sucks so I adjust sound balance in the system preferences but there may some solution by changing kext (figure it out by yourself if you are still not satisfy by controlling sound balance).

4. HDMI not working.

5. FaceTime, iMessage not working.

  • Keyboard
    • Backlight is ACPI-managed so it works just fine too
What does it mean? how to get that...
