Thanks neilhart for the suggestions. I did manage to get into the system with -PCIRootUID=1 but it is woefully slow. I found a company that has a few i3-3245's and one should be on the way in 2 week's time. You have to sometimes... just sometimes, love the power of the internet.
Just goes to prove that research, research, research, is the way to go.
I'm boxing up the parts and putting them away under my desk prior to the new processor arriving. Confident that the processor will solve all my woes, I can now start to concentrate on HOW to get the beast onto the Cube.
