Use gibMacOs to download your latest Sonoma :

The command you were looking for is createinstallmedia.

Use a 32 GB USB stick !

Of course, you can not install Sonoma OS on ANY available hardware !

Do you really need the latest beta of Sonoma ?
Soon, the "stable" version (14.4) will be available.
