Hey,
After years of thinking about doing a Mac Pro PC build, I had finally got my hands on a first gen Mac Pro case,
and after watching hours of case mods being done- browsing Tonymac, Google Photos & Youtube

I just can't figure out what to do with my PSU.
Modern PSU all have their intake fan on the bottom side (not the power outlet side) and everyone just fully blocks them with the case top shelf // point them towards their underlying motherboard (when the shelf is removed)

And no one ever mentions that part, like it's just ok to block the entire airflow of the PSU
can anyone say from experience how is it possible?
To me it feels like their PSUs must have died after a short runtime :X

Would love to hear what you guys have to say regarding this issue,
Thanks in advance everyone!

I took the bottom shelf out of my G5.

My RM1000x PSU was mounted fan side up and I cut a circle where the fan is so it has rooms to breath, also put a strip of foam uptop so it doesnt recirculate the air.

Only mistake was cutting all the pSU grill out so now the power plug doesn't have enough support to handle being plugged in without slipping. Project for this year..
