yes, as long as you have support for Mac OS Extended (Journaled) your good

I wouldn't recommend that as windows support is a bit "#$$/&#$.. Instead download a Ubuntu live cd and do it from there as Linux has native suport for HPFS.

more like the kp lies within the protools driver kext installer on your system. Look for /System/Library/Extensions/DigiDal.kext and remove it, see if that fixes the kp.

Wouldn't recommend touching the applehda.kext

I am having the same problem and after I run Multibeast, the latest one and I restart I can never get back into Lion, so I have to reinstall..
Please any help would be appreciated???

If you are having the same kernel panic you should remove the DigiDal.kext prior to booting in -s mode
