Hello all,
I perfectly followed tonymacx86' tutorial for installing Mac OS X 10.6.3 (retail, fitted to 4.7GB) on my Acer Aspire 5920G, using iBoot Legacy (other iBoot hung) and carefully checking recommendations (ACHI etc). Until step 3 everything goes fine!
But once inside Snow Leopard no devices are detected and I therefore can't install MultiBeast or the Combo Update from USB Flash drive, ext HDD or CD/DVD. I am sure not to boot with -x (safe mode). When restarting I get the known error "start with forcewake=y" and I have to start the entire installation process all over again... I presume the video card is not working neither as the Welcome Video doesn't show up.
As I have been looking on all possible forums (incl. this one) and never found such a problem, I decided to ask for your advice.
Thank you in advance!
