Ok, so I ended up starting over from scratch- have a .zip of my progress so far. Still need to add the last method for 8111E from the linux to the unix. Attachment: RealtekR1000SL-source-tonymacx86.zip It's a direct copy from the linux to the RealtekR1000SL- it's just a matter of getting the code in there. You can compare the code. I tried posting this to the thread that contained the files I used to make this but it's locked so I'll start a new one. Can someone try this out and tell me if it works with 8111E chips in 64-bit? I want to buy a newer board with this chip but not if the network ports dont work. So I figured, like tonymac, maybe I could get it working. I'm not a developer so I make no promises. I've successfully copied a file over on my home network. Better progress than I made- what exactly did you change? Just cleaned up some stuff and added a butt load more. I'll keep plugging away and post my results. I'll post the source in a bit.
You mentioned you had DHCP problems. Can you manually set an IP address? You might also try manually setting the ethernet speed to 1000baseT.
Like I said I'm not a developer… just determined.

So close. It would be so much easier if I had an 8111E. I'm calling it a night. Here is what I got. Hopefully a real developer picks it up.  Attachment: RealtekR1000SL_8111E.zip
