Hello and my only problem so far is that no HDD are detected during part/step 5 - installing part of Tony's guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=169&t=59052

My MOBO: Asus P8Z77-V LX: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LX/#specifications

I have tried everything:
  • -AHCI was already set by default on my mobo.
-Plugged my HDD to all SATA ports (2x6GB/s and 4x3GB/s)

Everything else boots up fine (including my windows drive). The OS X installer boots up fine (no errors with no flags at all). It's just no HDD's are detected.

So I ask for guidance on my newbie self. :)

did you format your HDD with disk utility ?

Disk utility does not see any of my drives no matter what sata port I use. My bios is on AHCI by default.

Try unibeast 1.3 and Bridgehelper 4.0.1

you can always run bridgehelper 5.0 after you have your machine running.

ill try that after i download the latest mac os x lion. My friend let me borrow his unibeast drive which had an older version. I just finished asking him if I could overwrite this drive with the latest os x install from apple. I finished buying the app and now im waiting for the download to finish. Will get back to you with success, so thanks for the answers.

I had the same problem recently and i found some informations that could help you :

As said before, if you run with an ivy bridge processor, and if you use the 10.7.4 lion version, you'll need "bridge helper".
Using the bridge helper 4.0.1 should manage to make your HDD visible in the disk utility ;)
