Hi guys, been trying for days to get Yosemite installed on my Gigabyte PC. Have previously installed many other versions of OS over the past few years with little or no trouble, but this one is taking the biscuit.
Have tried umpteen solutions to no avail so ay help great appreciated.

What is the hardware of this Gigabyte machine? All that anyone can read is the specs for an Asus build. Also going to need a better picture that shows more of the screen.

What bootflags were you using when you got that screen?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
The system I am trying to install it on (which was previously running Maverick very successfully) is a Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 LGA1155 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors.Intel i3-2120 Sandybridge Core i3 Dual-Core Processor. OnBoard Graphics or Gigayte GeForce GT 220.

I have been able to go thru the instal procedure with no problems and can boot to Yosemite via the USB. However once I run Multibeast with the settings I know are correct I am unable to boot into the HDD. I continually get a white screen which starts loading but then eventually dies on me !

I have tried just about every variant of boot flag, (you name I've tried it !!) and none of them allow me to boot in Yosemite once I have installed it on my PC. I have therefore used -v to produce the attached log

I think your motherboard uses an Intel 6 series chipset.

Try installing AppleACPIPlataform.kext from version 10.9.5.

There's an option to install it from MultiBeast.

Make you sure you create a backup of your current (10.10) AppleACPIPlataform.kext before installing the older one.

Hi, thanks for replying. Yeah I have tried that already, and while it starts to boot my installation to my HDD halfway thru it stops, goes to a blank screen and then turns off the computer ??
