    Asus Z97-A Thunderbolt Big Sur

Solved: enabled VT-x and VT-D in the BIOS and disabled “DisableIoMapper” in OC Config. Hot swap doesn’t work, but that’s not needed for my uses. Just happy to have it working.

    Asus Z97-A Thunderbolt Big Sur

Hi All, I upgraded my Z97-A with my Thunderbolt EXII from 10.11 to Big Sur and changed the boot loader over to OpenCore 0.7.3 in the process. However, my Thunderbolt 2 stopped working. It was working under 10.11 but on a cold boot only with no hot swapping. Now, if the device is connected at...

    AMD 5700 XT crashing

I agree - if you've replace the motherboard, PSU, and it happens with multiple GPUs - I have some bad news - it isn't the GPU. A new GPU will *NOT* solve your issue. More than likely either RAM (Run Memtest for 24 hours), CPU, or your SSD going bad - it does happen, albeit rare.

    AMD 5700 XT crashing

Ah, good jog of memory. I had a Seasonic 550w PSU that I had to upgrade to a 750w unit when I got the 5700XT. These things are hungry cards.

    AMD 5700 XT crashing

No way to answer your question - would be pure conjecture. Just sharing what stabilized mine. Is there any warranty left on the card? May want to try an RMA.

    AMD 5700 XT crashing

FWIW, I bought another 5700XT and had the same crashing problems until I changed those BIOS settings. So, buying another one in this market may just lead to further frustration. I never used AGPMInjector with it.

    AMD 5700 XT crashing

I enabled these 3. • PEG ASPM (Default: Auto) • PCIe ASPM (Default: Auto) • PCH DMI Link ASPM Control (Default: Enabled)

    AMD 5700 XT crashing

I had this issue. I found turning ON PCIE power management in the BIOS solved it.

[Solved] Random reboots - (High) Sierra

While I agree that is the eventuality, until GPU performance is better than a 5700XT, viva hackintosh.

[Solved] Random reboots - (High) Sierra

Not sure if anyone is still watching this thread, but ran into the same issues and they were as elusive as the OP's. Thought my PSU was going bad (10 yrs was a good run), then video card, but after swapping both, the issue persisted. The video card was the only thing I changed on my Z370 board...

Apple Previews macOS 11.0 Big Sur - Available Fall 2020

I do believe you BOTH misunderstand. It was stated that their entire lineup would transition within the next couple of years. Sorry, but while the pro models will more than likely be the last to move to ARM, they will move indeed.

RX 580 display working in Mojave but not Clover menu

To the sleep question - I have not hacked the 9020 for MacOS, speaking from experience turning them into little gaming machines for the family to play VR together across the country on. To the output question - I find the card defaults to the DVI or HDMI output over the DP's.

RX 580 display working in Mojave but not Clover menu

Set default as Radeon in the bios and it will display boot/clover on the 580. Source: Have many 9020 MT's
