Same trick (Super IO |= disabled) did it for me, Gigabyte Z370 (Firmware F6) and a Focusrite 2i2. Finally i can listen to music again on something else than a Homepod! :)

UPDATE on my situation (and maybe a tip):
I took the PSU out of the case so that i could put my head between the case and the PSU and hear where the sound came from.
It was the PSU all along! So i switched my Corsair CX750M to a 550W BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro. And what a difference, no weird...

- adjusting CPU frequency down and playing around with the core voltage.(this did change the volume/pitch of sound, but did not get rid of it)

i use the 120 gb sandisk extreme ssd and it is fast and reliable so far! Go for it if your budget is important, it will work and will still be extremely fast compared to a traditional hard drive!
That is indeed true, Woz discribes this in his biography, his philosophy is that users have to be able to add hardware and expand the machine themselves. :)

I had the exact same issue with z77n-wifi and 3570k.. Booting into save mode via -x and installing multibeast inside the save mode fixed it for me :S
