Hello, me and other people of this forum are creating a super Mac Pro with a Asus Z9PE W8 DS motherboard (it uses dual Xeon processors, E5 26xx).
So, we know LGA2011 it´s no supported right now (we use NullCpuPowerManagement), but everything else it´s starting to work fine. The motherboard has 14 Sata ports, i have achieved to get 10 working and i´m trying to get work the other 4, so i need help to do it.
What i know about this 4 ports:
The Pci ID is 8086:1D6B (8086 is intel)
I can see the ID on IOReg on Mac, but i guess i have to modify some kext to link the ID with the Info.plist (but what´s the kext to modify?)
So, i think it´s not a simple AHCI, when i look for on Windows or Google, it says it´s RAID or SAS (i think it´s the last one).
I know it´s a very recent tech and Mac Pro has not been updated from time ago, i was waiting for the Mac Pro 2013, but.....
I think Patsburg SCU is present on other motherboards (X79), so i think it will be great to help other people to use their sata.
Thank in advance.
