Hi! I had an old HDD disk lying around and nothing else to do, so, I've installed OS X El Capitan on it. The PC is an old basic desktop: Intel C2D E8400, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD and ATI HD 2400XT. It was pretty easy to install El Capitan on it following the tutorial found here using Unibeast. The PC booted nicely, I managed to get sound working, ps/2 ports, ethernet and even bluetooth dongle, but graphics sucks. I decided to try because I knew the ATI 2400 was used on a real iMac (running OS X 10.11) so I was convinced that the graphic card was going to work OOB. But looks like it's not. After reading some things I managed to get at least both monitors (my 2400XT have a DMS-59 which can output 2 DVI/VGA) at the right resolutions by adding the device id (94c1) to the AMD2600Controller.kext plist (with the AMD2400Controller I didn't had any luck). Also, I had to use ATI Inject on Clover and use Lamna as FB name and read VBIOS. However, graphic acceleration is not working. I tried adding the device ID to the ATIRadeonX2000.kext too but it results on booting into a black screen, I can only see the mouse pointer.
My question is, was this GPU (2400XT) able to work on hackintosh builds using accelaration? I tried looking for some info on the Internet but didn't found too much, besides 404 web sites, files not available, etc...
This is just for fun, if ATI Radeon 2400XT doesn't work, I can understand.
BTW, it's curious that the About this macs, list the GPU as an ATI Radeon 4330M. IDK why uses that name.
