Which reminds me ...
I seem to recall that if you wanted a part of a DOS/Windows path name to contain spaces you needed to put that part of the path in inverted commas. It may show as 'normal' in the path bar but when using it as a DOS/CMD command etc. it has to be defined the way. Maybe Python doesn't care?
