initial support for your Comet Lake is High SierraI'm trying to install macOS El Capitan but the installer tells me that OS X is already installed even though that's not true.
How can I solve it?
When I attempted the installation I had created the OS X Extended (Journaled) partition and called it Macintosh HD.initial support for your Comet Lake is High Sierra
also before trying to install, at the recovery menu, open DiskUtility and then choose view -> show all devices
then click the actual drive and choose erase, then close it and try and install
yes, erase the entire driveWhen I attempted the installation I had created the OS X Extended (Journaled) partition and called it Macintosh HD.
I specify that the HDD is connected via an internal SATA 6 Gbps cable.
Do I have to format the entire HDD?
So is this problem due to the fact that El Capitan is not supported by my CPU?
I prefer to try High Sierra first.yes, erase the entire drive
then how come you posted in El Capitan forum?I prefer to try High Sierra first.
Because I thought it could be solved without formatting the entire HDD.then how come you posted in El Capitan forum?
