folks i am extremely stupid and forgot to remove prior broadcom kexts. dont be like me.
Hi! I was seeking a solution to my unsupported mobo WiFi (naturally) and stumbled upon a T919, which, duh, support was dropped for in Sonoma -- however upon finding these patches, I've managed to get WiFi and Bluetooth both technically up and running - but WiFi, in particular, is practically unusable with sub-1Mbps speeds. On Windows, with the Fenvi T919 connected, I'm reaching extremely higher speeds, like 50x. this is with Bluetooth disabled as well, and connected to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz networks. It seems like the card is being throttled almost on macOS by some function; it will very sporadically hit higher speeds that are usable before going back to sub 1Mbps unusable speeds, something I have not experienced on windows.
I'm not sure exactly what my issue could be seeing the results on Windows -- I had assumed the card was faulty, or the antennas were, but now i'm assuming the issues lies somewhere within my (otherwise entirely, and surprisingly, functional) macOS config. I'm attaching my config but I am almost certain everything is correct there having combed through it so many times now! If anyone has any ideas, I would absolutely love to hear them as I am completely stumped, and my next move would be to give downgrading to Ventura a shot (which is unfortunate, seeing as everything else works practically flawlessly). Thank you so much.
