Hi Hexen,
I did this (in BIOS):
  • Settings\Advanced\Wake Up Event Setup --> Resume By USB Device --> Disabled

Test with this configuration... shutdown should works.

To resume from sleep you have to push the power button (in other words doesn't resume from keyboard/mouse).

While I found a good solution you can test if this workaround works also for you.

For now I'm using this workaround.

Keep me informed,
Thx
Hello! Thank you! now it shutdown properly)

Update:
- updated to 14.3
- updated to OC 0.9.7
- replaced the dGPU with a Powercolor red devil rx 6800 xt

No issue.
I'll post the new EFI foolder soon. EFI POSTED

Hi, pulpinex.
Thank you for sharing your build.

I'm very new to Hackintosh, but with the help of YouTube video and your guide I managed to install Ventura on my PC.

Today I created a Sonoma bootable drive and added your EFI_OC_0.9.6_Sonoma files to a bootable drive's EFI Partition. The boot loader loads, I click on Install MacOs Sonoma, progress bar starts moving and then grey slash no entry symbol appears.

I'm in the process of adding verbose to boot loader to see what's the issue.

The grey image appears right after the following verbose/text:

If you know what it is could you please help?

Thanks

I don't know...
I suppose you have set the BIOS correctly.
Your MoBo is exactly same as mine?

Which EFI did you use?

Hi Pulpinex,

thank you for posting your guide! I hope you do not mind if I ask you few questions.

I am finding myself needing a Windows machine in my otherwise Mac office, for some seldom rendering work. As I have been installing hackintoshes in the past - however that was likely 10 years ago - I thought that if I buy the right components I should still be able to do that, to make a more consistent use of that PC.

I am still reading guides, so far it appears to me that if I would stick with Comet Lake the process would be the easiest, not that exciting though. Moreover, I am reading that using later chips is recommended for experts only, for the EFI folder creation complexity (and map the ports as well?), unless someone with a similar hardware configuration can provide it for a start.

It happens I already own a MSI Radeon RX 6800XT trio 16G for an eGPU project that I've never done, and therefore I was hoping to use your build list to orient my purchases to ease up the process. I am tempted to buy your same MoBO and Chip, as they are in line with the type of machine I want.

Therefore I was wondering if in that case I could use your EFI folder and streamline the process fo my Mac Os installation, and if there are other components that need to match for me to use your EFI.
The chip has to be K - unlocked? Can that be F - without iGPU?

Thank you again if you can reply.

Ciao Pulpinex,

I‘ll answer in the late afternoon

Thank you again if you can reply.

The most important pieces you should buy are:
- MoBo (the same, with DDR5 memory)
- CPU may be also a F (you can save money without difference), you don't use in Hackintosh the iGPU but only the dGPU (6800XT)

Others components can vary but keep in mind that some NVME disk could have problems (I suggest not samsung).

See:

Keep in mind also that hackintosh is not same as a Original Mac. If you need a "working tool" then forget the hackintosh and go to an original Mac...
With Hackintosh you could have tricks to do every upgrade... is not the same!

great, thank you, assuming has to be KF then, and has to be the same 13900.

oh, I know that very well unfortunately, if was after a very bad hackintosh moment that stopped with it!

good point, I'm wondering if I check off any type of automatic update, if the Mac would actually stop for real. If something happens anyway, I do have real macs I can jump on, and the local data is real-time synced with the NAS. Not ideal, but it should help.

BTW THANK YOU again! Also, I'm Italian too - not that it makes any difference, but it's kind of funny how many of us in one thread all the best!

As per rules, please update your hardware profile to allow others to help you easier
