I am still using zotac motherboard with I5 2500k , rock solid , never had any major issues , runs 24/7

updated via software update, reboot unsuccessful, booted in safe mode, restarted and all is well, did not have to reload anything....... zotac motherboard G4 Quicksilver Mac, I5 3570K, GT 640 2GB only issue so far no wifi , have not looked into the issue yet, since i use a lan connection

Look in your system preferences , sound, the install set my output sound on digital, i set it to built in speakers and worked fine, I use speakers plugged in the mother board.

Thanks for the post Tony, definitely will be a time saver with the config you posted,I have this build also currently with Maverick, looking forward to updating to El Capitan, this build has worked awesome for years!

El Capitan on hdd still working on hdd boot in zotac z77

for the price 89 dollars for 240gb i gave it a try and the pny ssd installed easily and works well , over 300 mb write and over 400 mb read, does not come with any software........I used super duper to clone the new ssd.

Altec Lansing computer speakers (4) with woofer over 10 years old and still thumping away...

Works for me and still using 10.8.4

No issues up and running on zotac

Downloaded installed no issues on zotac

Updated to 10.8.3 with software update, took about 10 mins, reinstalled audio and good to go
