Since it is possible to install on a GA-G41M-ES2L, which has a ICH7 southbridge and, AFAIK, does not support AHCI in its BIOS, it might be possible, but how well it would work? Your guess is as good as mine. You might read through this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=182655fsch said:Hey,
I got a theroretical question: Would it be possible to install Mac OSX SL on a Motherboard that doesn't support AHCI nor SATA. (Only IDE)?
Greetings
It won't work. You need a motherboard with an Intel chipset for installation.fsch said:Does anyone have additional information regarding Mac OSX SL on a chipset with a SiS IDE-Controller? As mentioned, it doesn't support AHCI.
Enhanced == AHCIfsch said:Firstly, thank you for the information!
But I got another question
Would an Asus P5GD1-FM be more compatible? Its IDE-Controller supports [Disabled] [Enhanced] and [Compatible] mode.
Edit: Don't see any AHCI Mode
Thanks
