Yes. In System Preferences/Sound/Output, select a digital output or input device and the message "The selected device has no output controls" with the grayed out volume control.pechenie said:So is it the default behaviour even on the genuine Mac Mini (or Mac Pro)?
But on Windows and Linux it is possible to change volume programmaticaly, it's a little bit strange.
Does your Blu-Ray player have a volume control?
