Better graphics cards for edition video and photos

I will look into those theads. I have had that Avid compatibility page bookmarked already, but thank you I will look into it further.

I was looking into a GTX 970 as it seems like a popular card, although it seems Apple will be with going with AMD going forward. People are saying the RX 480 is unstable but supported so it is a difficult to decide.

Unstable is useless for video editing where you are relying on the GPU - you would be better using a cheap GT210 over any of the new AMD cards. Give it another couple of months and hopefully this will have significantly changed. Use an AMD R9 280X as a stopgap until the new cards have real support.
