Clover not working

When i try to boot with clover i get a screen with a weird image. it is random corruption and it gets brighter. i don't know how else to explain it and i don't have a picture. Chimera works fine though. Ive tried multiple times but each time i get the corruption on boot. it isn't a kernel panic from what i can tell.

What version of OS X?

Yosimite. When I boot into my existing install it just shows a glitchy screen. ive tried older versions, all have the same problem.
