it does seem to work, it just doesn't display the correct percentage.

No idea without the native DSDT and the patches you are applying.

hi RehabMan, could you help me to patch DSDT for working battery status ? my laptop does n't recognize battery status. i will send for you this dsdt working good appleHDA.I have installed ACPIBatteryManager version 1.53. my latop is asus x83vm-x1.

DSDT is not clean (it is autopatched by Clover). Read post #1. There may be a patch already in the repo.

There are only two patches available in the patch repo for ASUS. Try both. See which one works.
