i7 2600k Build for Adobe CS5 Video Production

Hi Guys,

I'm as new as they get to hackintosh so be kind. My 2007 MBP is well past its use-by date for HD video editing and AfterEffects compositing so its time for something with more grunt.

Sorry for the Australian links, it's the only place I could find everything I needed that would ship to me.

From the reading I have been doing over the last week it seems that this system should work fine. The only worry i have is with the GFX card. I would prefer to run the GTX560 as i want to run Premiere CS5 and it is compatible for GPU acceleration, however if it is going to be too problematic (compared to the Radeon) then I'd prefer to just stick to the HD6870.

If anyone can see anything that could be a hurdle for me it'd be great if you could let me know! Thanks heaps

to see what compatible, don't make what i do, i take (HD6950) and it's not work and the older model (HD 6870) it's working - so i back to my old (nvidia 8800) and now i don't know what i do in (HD6950) it's wonderful but not work for mac and in my little experience take (GeForce GTX 480).
you can see my build i do't before 5 dyas work perfect lion 10.7
and i work on Premiere CS5 and my main work designer indesign and Photoshop and the machine work perfect on 3d programs like CINEMA 4D

Hey I have similar components and the system is rock solid.

HDD1: Corsair Force 3 SSD (560MB/320MB R/W)
HDD2: WD 2TB SATA3 (100/100MB R/W)
GPU: Asus GeForce GT 430 1Gb Silent
PSU: Corsair CX500
DVD-RW: TSSTcorpCD/DVDW TS-H653L (Scavenger from an old system).
Case: NZXT GEH MIDI H2 WHITE

The only diference is the GPU but I think the nvidia will work as it is specified in the compatibility list.
I use my system for book creation and photography post processing. Everything works like a charm

Ended up going for a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti Overclocked

With a couple of monitors it came to - near as makes no difference - AU$1500 which is about US$1,000,000

Not bad considering the sort of mac i could get for that money.
