I'm trying to install 10.11.4 on my new rig. I've already read the following:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.164990/
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/testing-thread-skylake-platform-in-os-x.176407/
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

I've created my USB installer, but I'm stuck after the first 3-4 lines of the verbose boot:
fvNK63.jpg

I've used the config.plist from: https://github.com/vbourachot/XPS13-9350-OSX/blob/master/config.plist for a quite similar 9350...

My Clover Dir contains CLOVER-F4 read and iasl patched *.aml's. I've installed MacIASL but lack the experience to work with the files.

So I hope you can help...

NVMeGeneric.kext not recommended. Read FAQ for recommended method.

No need for patched ACPI to reach the installer... remove all files from ACPI/patched (plus, your setup is wrong anyway).
Don't forget to restore config.plist to the state prior to the (incorrect) edits.

EmuVariableUefi-64.efi and DataHubDxe-64.efi may be needed. And you might try VboxHfs instead of HFSPlus (read my laptop Clover guide for details).

Don't forget to set DVMT-prealloc as required (read FAQ).

Also, the guide recommends Clover v3625, which is not the version you have...

THX:
  • I've created a patched "HackrNVMeFamily-10_11_6.kext" on my 2012 MacBook-Pro..-
  • emptied the ACPI/patched Dir
  • copied back the original config from github, only enabled mouse and changed the theme...
  • downloaded EmuVariableUefi-64.efi but couldn't find: DataHubDxe-64.efi
But in the UEFI menu there seems to be no DVMT settings...

Which files would I need to change to downgrade to 3625?

Sadly the above steps didn't change the pic...

I've attached the config.plist is there still a failure inside? Because then it must be upstream...

And I can't find DVMT in your Clover-Laptop Guide nor the Skylake Testing Thread but maybe it's just to late in germany. I try getting some sleep and continue later / tomorow

Boot verbose, show photo. Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

The Pic from my first post is from verbose mode, I've tried again with only adding "-v" or "-v -x" but the pic is same as with "dart=0 -v"

Attached the current clover.zip.

I've downgraded to 3625 and used your config_HD520_530_540.plist as a base and only changed the following:

  1. theme
  2. mouse enabled set to true
  3. timeout setting set to 2
  4. ScreenResolution set to 1280x1024
  5. Legacy set to false
  6. ig-platform-id experimented with "0x191e0000" for 515
I've read your guide once more (thanks a lot for sharing your deep knowledge!), but can't see what could be wrong. I've copied the Installer using " 'createinstallmedia' method" on my 2012 MacBook-Pro running 10.11.6.

But sadly the issue remains the same! I've experimented with different boot paraments next to "-v" but all of them only give me the same failure.

As per guide, try VboxHFS instead of HFSPlus.efi. Also, you may need DataHubDxe-64.efi.
Your Clover/kexts is not per guide.
Enabling mouse in Clover is a bad idea.
Keep in mind you'll need to use a bogus FakeID until you can patch IOKit.

Hi. I've been working with the same (ish) issues you are having with my 7370. I believe you are being plagued by a memory mapping error in OsxAptioFixDrv, similar to some X99 boards. I've tried some of the other solutions linked online without any avail.
