No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.

I updated my profile.
To save a look up....

Asus Z170-E
Intel 6700K
GTX 980

Once OS was installed I tried multibeast and choose the audio for ALC887.
Didnt work...tried the legacy version. Same result.
Tried voodoo and aside from putting the VoodooHDA speaker icon in System Pref that didnt work either.

I think you need that config plist to help me more.
I was able to DL clover and i generated the file that is atchd. Hopefully thats the right one?
If not point me towards a guide or directions and Ill get you what you need.

If i didnt follow some rules or whatever its totally out of ignorance.

i was being desprate of my audio so i injected any kext i could find , your AppleHDA.kext saved me bro , thanks alot :X

Totally stumped on this one. One curious note is DPCIManager shows Realtek ALC888B device though I installed (and all other info indicates) ALC887 device. Thoughts? Other relevant info follows:

1. No output devices found
2. OS X 10.11.6, Gigabyte Z170-HD3, F6 BIOS, i5-6400, on-board graphics
3. Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]
1. MultiBeast ALC887/888b, 100 Series Audio

It's odd, according to your codecdetect script it should be working, but System Information has a second Intel High Definition Audio entry with nothing but the same audio ID.

1. No Audio Devices
2. OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
Asus Z97-A
BIOS Version 2501
Intel i5 4690K 3.5GHz
NVIDIA GTX 780
3. MultiBeast > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC892

Not good.
Remove S/L/E/HDAEnabler1.kext
Remove S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext
Install native AppleHDA.kext
Run current MultiBeast
Restart
It's a fresh install, so I will just do a clean install to get my native AppleHDA.kext back and run MultiBeast then.

EDIT: Alright, that fixed it. The guide I originally used for my motherboard suggested ALC1150, but ALC892 is the correct one.

Where is realtekALC.kext? It did not load.
Searched the system and doesn't appear to be anywhere. Not sure why and a bit of a noob with the Hackintosh thing so unclear how to proceed. Can I just copy it (from somewhere?) into my Extensions directory?
