[SUCCESS] Gigabyte A520l AC — Ryzen 7 4700G — Radeon Vega 8 16GB

Now that NootedRed is playing nice with GB6 and Unigene Valley. I thought I’d get some benches from the latest version of Sonoma. GB6 scored a little higher than my last bench, nice to be over the 25K mark. I got the Valley bench a few minutes ago, previously it wouldn’t load, I don’t think that’s bad for a APU!.

Successfully updated to Sonoma 14, 23A344, (technically the same as last weeks RC2 update), booting OpenCore 0.9.5. Intel BT and Wi-Fi are working, but Airdrop and Handoff are not, not that I'm concerned, I tend to use iCloud more to swap stuff between devices. CaseySJ has a good idea where you can use BCM for BT and Intel for Wi-Fi if you require the extra functionality. I'm just happy I can use my Mighty Mouse and bog standard keyboard!.

I'm going to guess macOS Sonoma 14.1 will be arriving some time this week, just successfully installed 14.1, the incremental update, using restrict events kext and revpatch=sbvmm boot arg. Instantly noticed a speed bump and BT connected much quicker.

It’s not really a gaming machine until you can use a controller right?!. My Xbox Wireless Controller just refuses to connect, but a Nimbus Steel Series, (MFI) has no problems at all. And though Ferral Interactive/CodeMasters don’t officially support MFI, they did write a .plist that will and you can follow the instructions on how to install it the link below, it doesn't go in the EFI folder!.

Switching the WD_BLKs between my two AMD builds went easier than I feared!. Having the WD_BLK SN 750 made more sense in this build and it's still fast, I just miss DIRT4 as that's my 'Bar' for performance on this build!. Now running Sonoma 14.1.

While being distracted by the 6700XT and WRC, there were a couple of updates to NootedRed this week. The 'Bump MackernelSDK' and 'Don't patch AppleHDA' editions haven't caused me any issues and seem to working just fine. Also updated to Sonoma 14.1.1 via the 400 MB incremental update using just the 'revpatch=cpuname,pci,sbvmm' boot argument in my config.

I'm glad the latest update worked for you. I had read that an earlier update didn't work.

I'll update shortly.

Wait! I'm currently using NootRX. What is NootedRed?

UPDATE: Ah, NootedRed is for AMD CPU hackintoshes. NVM.

@Stork

NootedRed is the kext that enables AMD APUs, 5600G, U series, anything with integrated graphics. NootRX is for the RX 6700XT, but they're both by the same developer, ChefKissInc. The naming can get confusing, but there was an update to NootRX this week, did you get the one?.
