I am trying to update from 10.12.0 to 10.12.5 and am having some issues. I've been using this guide. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-sierra-on-the-ga-z170x-ud3.202296/

After downloading and installing the update, I never reached the desktop. My loading bar got stuck just near the end. I've tried disabling Inject Intel from the boot loader but I don't even have that option under Options. And so then I tried following some of the methods played out for problem 4 here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.161256/#Problem4 I could only accomplish method 1 via booted onto my clone drive and installing the two kexts onto my main drive. This did not do anything. Method 3 is not for me. Method 4 can almost be completed from my cloned drive but I don't know how to rebuild the kernel cache of my main drive from my boot drive.

Method 2 consists of using AGDPfix but how can I use this app/patch this file while booted onto my clone? I can easily enough get into the same file from my main drive, but the code is all different after the update that I can't just copy and replace. As far as I can tell, that info.plist file already is configured properly.

I've tried booting with different arguments, mostly having nvda_drv=1 and/or nv_disable=1 on or off.

I've included my EFI config.plist and info.plist inside of S/L/E/AppleGraphicsControl.kext

I'm not really sure what wrong, but I don't doubt that it is something blatantly obvious.
