update from 10.7.3 to 10.7.5

First of all this is my system which was ok running 10.7.3

Asus Sabertooth X58
Bios 1304
I7 CPU950 @ 3.07GHZ
12 Gig RAM
AMD Radion HD 6870

After update I get the screen " pls switch off system......" or something like that.

Any help here?

Did you choose the standard Software Update under the Apple?
Or did you download the standalone 10.7.5 update?
In either event, did you apply the update to your working system, or to a bootable clone-backup as a test first?

Hi, i also did an standard software update to 10.7.5 after innstalling a unibeast usb 10.7.3 and basically now only
get a marker blinking on a black screen.
I am unsure of how to proceed: Do i update the usb-stick with Lion on it or do i do multibeast or ?

Kind of similar setup as the threadstarter only with i5 sandybridge cpu on an asus board

I did the combo update from a working machine on 10.7.3
The reason why I want the update working is that a major update from Aperture doesn't work on 10.7.3
